Sorry for the delay in posting, but we have had major issues with our new tank. The nitrate and ammonia levels are out of control, and we have been completing major water changes daily - in most cases 15-20 gallons. In spite of the issues, those trout are doing awesome and growing fast. We have been feeding them leftover fruit flies and pieces of redworms as well. Release day is scheduled for May 9, and we are hoping to release about 230 trout.

Lots of issues coming up this week. We have nitrates and ammonia thru the roof in the large lab tank - we were getting readings of nitrates at 120 and ammonia close to 2. We have been doing large water changes each day, and we are still high - and we moved 47 more fish back to the room tank to get numbers down. I hope the tank is just trying to cycle, but worried that we might be getting excess nutrients into the tank. I will keep updates coming...

Our trout seem to be adjusting well to life in the new tank. I will post pics soon, but we now have a 110 gallon stock tank that we are using for some of our fish. We moved all fish over to the tank to clean out the aquarium, and brought 53 back. We have a total of 251 brookies still in the tanks.
